Sandbox Management

Full container lifecycle management at your fingertips.

Creating Sandboxes

Create a new sandbox using the GUI or CLI. Each sandbox is an isolated Docker container pre-configured for a specific AI coding agent.

bash
# Create a sandbox for Claude
csb create --agent claude --name my-claude-project

# Create with a specific port mapping
csb create --agent copilot --name api-dev --port 8080:8080

Lifecycle Management

Start & Stop

Sandboxes can be started and stopped without losing any data. The container state is preserved between stops.

bash
# Stop a running sandbox
csb stop my-claude-project

# Start a stopped sandbox
csb start my-claude-project

Restart

Restart a sandbox to apply configuration changes or reset the container state:

bash
csb restart my-claude-project

Delete

Remove a sandbox and all its data permanently:

bash
csb delete my-claude-project

Warning

Deleting a sandbox is irreversible. Create a snapshot first if you want to preserve the state.

Monitoring

Monitor resource usage for your sandboxes directly in the GUI or via CLI:

bash
# View all sandboxes with resource usage
csb list --stats

# View detailed info for a specific sandbox
csb info my-claude-project

The dashboard displays real-time CPU, memory, and network usage for each running sandbox.

Snapshots

Snapshots capture the full state of a sandbox, allowing you to restore it later or share it with your team.

bash
# Create a snapshot
csb snapshot create my-claude-project --name "working-state"

# List snapshots
csb snapshot list my-claude-project

# Restore from a snapshot
csb snapshot restore my-claude-project --name "working-state"

Environment Variables

Configure environment variables for your sandboxes to pass API keys, configuration values, and other settings:

bash
# Set environment variables during creation
csb create --agent claude --name my-project \
  --env ANTHROPIC_API_KEY=sk-... \
  --env PROJECT_DIR=/workspace

# Update environment variables on an existing sandbox
csb env set my-project API_KEY=new-value

Security

Environment variables are stored securely and never exposed in logs or the GUI.
